Six high school counselors (including a head counselor and career and technical counselor) make up the counseling staff. The Career & Technical (CTC) counselor and the head counselor are each assigned to one quarter of their assigned grade level. Each counselor begins with students in ninth grade and then follows those assigned students for 4 years. This arrangement fosters a close relationship between students, families, and their school counselor, thereby making the high school experience more satisfying and complete.
The CTC counselor works with any student enrolled who has questions about a career and technical education course or program.
The head counselor serves as an additional resource for students and families by planning evening/extra programs, directs the high school counseling staff, and serves as the liaison with colleges, post secondary schools and other resources for post-secondary planning.
Many of our counselors have had an abundance of experience in secondary education and look forward to working with the students and families at our high school.
