If you update the folder on Google Drive, your website is automatically updated.
Can restrict viewership through Google permissions.
Google Folder Cons
Files always display in alphabetical order (but you can manipulate file names to force them into your desired order)
Name of person who last updated file displays in List View.
Must be careful about adding not adding private documents into a shared folder.
Consider ownership of the shared folder; if that person leaves the district, the folder is deleted so the app will be blank.
This can be mitigated by sharing a folder that belongs to a generic, evergreen account (Curriculum vs. Mary Smith).
Embedded Google Doc Pros & Cons
Pros:
The file can be updated in Google Docs and the changes will reflect in the embedded version within a few minutes--helpful for files that are continuously updated.
Visitors can read the document right on your site without having to open Google Docs.
Cons:
The document is not scanned by Ally for accessibility compliance.
The document takes up a lot of real estate. If you need to share multiple documents, consider Google Folder or adding a Tabbed Widget.
